Baked garlic

Recipe for "Baked garlic":

Baked garlicFinally got around to fill up a section of sauces andseasonings. Today we will bake the garlic. In the baked form it can be used for the preparation of poultry, part of the salad dressings and soups, mashed potatoes, spread on a baguette for further baking. In short, the thing is quite universal, though it is prepared is not difficult.


250 grams of garlic heads
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (you can take 0.5 tsp dried)
3 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste


Garlic remove the top layer of the husk and cut off the tops, so that with the teeth as it were, lifted lids. Put in a baking dish.

Cut away the top

Season with salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with thyme.

Pour olive oil so that it flows into and between the teeth.

Cover the form with foil and put in preheated 200 degree oven for about an hour, until golden brown.

Baked garlic

Give the garlic to cool down to such an extent that it could take arms, and take out the baked cloves from the husk. Further, in most cases, the garlic mashed potatoes in warming up and used for other purposes.
