And here is the promised recipe for tortilla. I give here the wheat version - for normal corn need specific meal, which we unfortunately did not get too much. In addition, I suggest to cook it in butter, but if you have the opportunity to buy cooking oil (aka vegetable shortening) - cook it. Our usual margarine, alas, will not work - the taste will be felt in the cake, which is not good. Alas.
In general, all is not difficult and very beneficial economically - we have, for example, the tortilla is not a penny from the rest of bakery products.
Ingredients 8-10 pieces:
320 g flour
1/2 tsp salt
75 g butter
125 ml of cold water
Flour, salt and diced coldbutter, put in a blender bowl and chop up the state of oily crumbs. You can do the same thing with a knife on a table or just to rub the flour and butter with your fingers.
Gradually pour in the water and knead the dough. Water can not leave the whole - it is necessary to add exactly as long, until the dough will gather into a ball. It should not be too soft, but it should not be too steep.
We form a ball of dough, wrap in foil and give a rest for 10-20 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8-10 pieces (depending on your pan size). Take one piece, roll into a ball and place on a sheet of parchment paper.
Cover with the second sheet.
Roll out with a rolling pin to the required size. The thickness of the cake - about 1.5-2 mm.
Fry the pancake on a dry frying pan on both sides over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side.
Store in the package.
